Winds ripped and tore

Ripping trees apart

From their very core

Rains poured down

Drenching

Pulverizing

Conquering the ground

The Aftermath

Showed Violence

and

Revealed a tortured earth

Confetti strewn sidewalks

Leaves

Plucked prematurely

From their trees

YET

Despite the Destruction

Beauty has prevailed

Survival of the fittest

The SUN shines through

RELIEF

From all of the pain

Glorious Color
